Katori Chat – Time for Some Indian Fast Food

RECIPE OF KATORI CHAAT

Ingredients:

2 cups maida flour

3-4 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
For filling:
2 Boiled and mashed potato
2 medium sized chopped onion
2 chopped tomatos
1 cucumber
1 cup boiled chick peas
1 cup sprouts
Chaat masala -to taste
Salt -to taste
Red chilli powder -to taste
Tamarind chutney
Coriander pudina chutney
Curd
Coriander
Sev

Method:

1.  Take maida flour in a bowl add oil , salt , cumin seeds, water and make a hard dough. Leave for one hour for proofing.
2.  After one hour take small amount of dough and make it into a roti big enough to shape a puri out of it.  Grease a small metal bowl with some oil in the inside(this is for the first time only). Place the roti you have made it in bowl.

3.  In medium heat, put the bowl and after 2-3 minutes katori will come out automatically.

4.  After all the katori are made .
5. Take katoris add some boiled chik peas, sprouts ,curd, salt and red chilli powder. Then add boiled potato, onion, tomato, tamarind chutney, coriander chutney, and chaat masala. Top it with sev and corianders leaves.

Your katori chaat is ready!
